So sorry to be sliding in here so late - been a bit of sickness in the household slowing things down a bit.
And though we were working with a skeleton crew on Tuesday, we still had a wonderful time!!
Remember though - we don't meet again until the 24th!
Science really brought music to our ears this week - with our water organ - so neat to here how sound waves move differently through water. And a BIG thank you to Mrs. Thompson for that amazing milk demonstration! Made me want to go home and make tie-dyed t-shirts!
This week we studied Gainsborough in our Great Artists series and we spent some time painting wonderful landscapes and then popping little people into them - just like the artist himself...the results truly were fabulous! And once again, they were really engaged in the process.
Continuing with our great artist's study, next we will be studying Monet! One of my personal favorites!
Presentations are continuing to improve. We are really working on the "figit factor" when we are in front of the group. Everyone is keeping their sense of humor about it too :-D
Week 16's presentation suggestion: Where would you like to go for a vacation? Or, where else in the world would you like to live?!
OK - so on to the new grammar that was presented Tuesday - as ever, if you need a map, worksheet or mp3 - just email me and I'll send it on over.

Patty the Persian cat visited
her friends in the MIDDLE EAST. First, she stopped by her former home of PERSIA (IRAN). She crawled through a crack in IRAQ to see her cousin in KUWAIT and then her sister in SYRIA. She took a boat to CYPRUS to visit her brother, and then they all went up to TURKEY for Thanksgiving.
