Journeymen, Cycle 2 Week 14

Hello CC-ers!
We had a fabulous time today! The kiddos were "all in" after being away for two weeks!

They had so much fun again today with science - getting "cold feet" and watching "pepper run"! Thanks again -the fabulous and captivating Mr. Herson!

Today we studied Lennaeus in our Great Artists series and we spent some time drawing magnified pictures of flowers - just like the artist himself...it was all in the details! They did a really great job and were really engaged in the process. They really understood the idea that in this case "Less was More". I especially loved hearing them complimenting and encouraging one another's work - they were such true model's of Christ.

For our great artist's study, next we will be studying Gainsborough!
Presentations are continuing to improve. We are really working on the "figit factor" when we are in front of the group. Everyone is keeping their sense of humor about it too :-D

Week 15's presentation suggestion: Tell us about your favorite game and how to play it!

OK - so on to the new grammar that was presented today - as ever, if you need a map, worksheet or mp3 - just email me and I'll send it on over.
