What fun we had today! We got to start off with more FABULOUS Science experiments - and this time we played around with sound waves! Thank you Mr. Herson - they remain in awe of your lessons (as do I!).
As promised, we started our new 6 weeks study of some of the great Artists - and leading the way....Rembrandt! The kiddos were really into not only into the doing the actual "art" in the style of this giant, but hey were extremely interested in the history behind the man and his methods of painting, sketching and etching. Some of them requested to take their drawings (shadowy faces) home to complete - so parents - PLEASE, make sure I get them back so that we have them to display at the end of the year program.
Remember we will not be meeting next Monday, but here is the line up for the following Monday (27th).
For our great artist's study, next we will be studying Linnaeus!
Week 14's presentation suggestion: Tell us about your favorite meal and how to make it! Yumm-o!
OK - so on to the new grammar that was presented today - as ever, if you need a map, worksheet or mp3 - just email me and I'll send it on over.
Praying you will all have two weeks just FULL of His grace and blessings!
