Week 19: Tell me about the Korean War (Timeline Card149) In 1950, General Douglas MacArthur led UN troops to stop Communist North Korea from capturing all of South Korea during the Korean War.
1950	Flash 9 fingers quickly; follow by holding up 5 fingers and making a zero
General Douglas MacArthur	D-hand transitions to an M-hand.
Led UN troops	Both A-hands tap on the chest (left) and lower side of the body (right). (ASL sign for military).
To stop	Hold both hands up in front of you in a stop position
Communist N. Korea	Right palm-out fist is raised above the line of vision in the communist salute. N-hand transitions (or point up) to a K-hand.
Capturing all	Two five-hands, palm-down. Open hands drop down while closing.
S. Korea	S-hand (or point down) transitions to a K-hand.
Korean War	Right K transitions to palm-in curved 5-hands move from side to side.

Benni the black bear of TAIWAN wanted to visit some of his neighbors in SOUTHEASTERN ASIA.  He caught a boat to NORTH KOREA and shuffled down to SOUTH KOREA.  Next, he surfed on over to the PHILIPPINES and then swam over to GUAM.
